This stunning solid oak index card cabinet features 2 beautifully crafted drawers and is a true testament to the quality and craftsmanship of early 20th-century makers. Originally designed for use in libraries, schools, and government offices, these index cabinets were made to last - and this one is no exception.
Both drawers are constructed with traditional dovetail joints and glides smoothly, a sign of its enduring build quality. The warm oak grain and aged patina offer plenty of vintage charm, while its compact proportions make it as versatile as it is attractive. Each drawer has orignial brass index card label holder and pull handle.
This cabinet lends itself to a variety of modern uses – from organising desk essentials to storing wine, gin, or other tipples, with each drawer comfortably fitting a bottle.
An exceptional and increasingly rare example of vintage utility furniture, it brings together timeless style, history, and practicality – a standout piece that’s sure to be treasured for years to come.
