Throughout its history, GFM specialised in creating elegant chairs, armchairs, and parquet flooring, earning recognition across domestic and international markets. The brand’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship made its furniture synonymous with durability and timeless design. Despite enduring a devastating fire in 1907 and the challenges of wartime production during World War II, GFM adapted and evolved, producing goods ranging from military equipment to experimental aircraft components.
In the 1990s, the factory underwent a transformation, partnering with the German company Karl-Heinz Klose and rebranding as “Klose – Gościcińska Fabryka Mebli.” This partnership introduced a new era of innovation, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design aesthetics.
Although GFM faced significant financial challenges in recent years, culminating in the closure of its operations in 2023, its legacy lives on. Vintage GFM pieces remain highly sought after, celebrated for their enduring beauty and historical significance. Each piece tells a story of artistry, resilience, and the rich heritage of Polish furniture-making.
