Simplex

Simplex is a British furniture manufacturer established in 1935, renowned for producing high-quality bookcases and storage solutions, particularly for libraries, schools and offices.

As specialists in functional shelving, Simplex became a staple of mid-century interiors, known for their simple, modular designs, solid craftsmanship, and durable materials. Their bookcases reflect the elegance of utility – clean lines, oak or beech construction and timeless adaptability. Today, vintage Simplex furniture is highly sought-after for its honest design, practical form and the understated beauty that defines mid-century British manufacturing.
