Alfred Cox (Furniture) Ltd was founded in 1956 and became one of the better-known names in British mid-century furniture, with their pieces sold exclusively through Heal's of London. Working primarily in walnut and teak, the company produced bedroom and living room furniture that sat comfortably within the post-war modernist movement - clean proportions, quality materials, and solid construction that holds up well decades later.
Their association with Heal's placed them alongside some of the most well-regarded furniture of the period, and their pieces remain a reliable find for anyone looking for well-made British mid-century.
