A beautifully designed mid century teak highboard by British furniture maker Jentique, combining generous storage with a dedicated drinks cabinet and plenty of characterful period detailing.
The upper left compartment opens with a fall-front door to reveal a fitted drinks cabinet, complete with an internal shelf and a pale, easy-to-clean serving surface. Alongside, a pair of sliding doors conceals further shelving, while the long open recess below provides the perfect space for displaying glassware, ceramics, books or favourite decorative pieces.
The lower section offers three useful drawers, including a divided cutlery drawer that has been freshly relined in black. The remaining drawers are generously proportioned, with neatly constructed dovetail joints, while the double-door cupboard provides additional concealed storage with an internal shelf.
Beautifully sculpted recessed handles run throughout the design, complemented by warm teak grain, gently curved side panels and slender tapered legs. The raised base and open central display area help to balance its substantial proportions, giving the highboard a lighter and more delicate appearance.
Both practical and wonderfully versatile, this would make an impressive cocktail cabinet, dining-room storage piece or statement highboard in a living space. A handsome example of British mid century design with ample room for everything from bottles and glassware to table linens, crockery and serving pieces.

Jentique was a British furniture manufacturer from the 1960s-70s, producing mid-range teak furniture with Danish-influenced styling.
Their sideboards and storage pieces feature clean lines, sliding doors, and solid construction. Good quality with dovetail drawers and teak veneers over solid frames. A more affordable alternative to G-Plan from the same era.
