Stunning Danish teak sideboard designed by Isabel Bernhard for Pedersen & Søn, Denmark circa 1960s. Model 156, produced for Möbel Fakta. This design showcases Pedersen & Søn's cabinetmaking expertise with tambour door mechanism and proper joinery throughout.
The front features double sliding tambour doors with sculpted vertical handles - these slide smoothly along their tracks to reveal the interior. Left and right sections offer adjustable shelving with via shelf pin holes. Center section contains four drawers with dovetail construction - top two drawers freshly lined with green felt replacing the original lining, ideal for cutlery or smaller items.
Teak veneer on door slats and drawer fronts, solid teak edging and frame. Tapered legs supporting the carcass. All drawers run smoothly on their original runners and the tambour mechanism operates as it should.
Fully restored and in lovely condition. Shows a few light surface marks consistent with sixty years of use but presents very well. The warm teak has developed depth over the decades without fading.
