Lidokov was a Czechoslovakian manufacturer based in Boskovice, producing lighting across the 1960s and 70s. Working with a number of designers – among them Josef Hůrka, Jaroslav Bejvl, and Stanislav Indra – the company developed a distinct body of work characterised by chrome and lacquered metal construction, adjustable fittings, and a functional approach to design that sat comfortably within the broader European modernist movement of the period.
Their best-known output is the Combi Lux series, designed by Indra: a versatile range of table, floor, wall and ceiling lamps available in a variety of colours and configurations. Pieces by Lidokov are now collected across Europe for their build quality and understated aesthetic.
