A striking mid century Combi Lux table lamp designed by Czech designer Stanislav Indra for Lidokov during the 1970s. With its vibrant orange finish, polished chrome framework and wonderfully mechanical construction, it is a bold example of Czechoslovak lighting design from the period.
The cylindrical metal shade is held within a wide chrome band and mounted to two slender upright supports. Its position can be adjusted along the frame, while the shade itself pivots to direct the light exactly where required, making it ideal for use as a desk, reading or bedside lamp.
Curved ventilation slots around the rounded back of the shade add another distinctive detail, while the bright orange circular base gives the lamp a strong, sculptural presence. The chrome fittings provide a crisp contrast and reinforce the wonderfully futuristic, almost space-age appearance.
Finished with a grey flex and inline rocker switch, this is a practical and highly decorative piece of vintage lighting. Its compact proportions make it easy to position, while the vivid colour would bring warmth and personality to a home office, living room or bedside setting.

Lidokov was a Czechoslovakian manufacturer based in Boskovice, producing lighting across the 1960s and 70s. Working with a number of designers - among them Josef Hůrka, Jaroslav Bejvl, and Stanislav Indra - the company developed a distinct body of work characterised by chrome and lacquered metal construction, adjustable fittings, and a functional approach to design that sat comfortably within the broader European modernist movement of the period.
Their best-known output is the Combi Lux series, designed by Indra: a versatile range of table, floor, wall and ceiling lamps available in a variety of colours and configurations. Pieces by Lidokov are now collected across Europe for their build quality and understated aesthetic.

Stanislav Indra was a Czechoslovakian designer best known for the Combi Lux lighting series, produced by Lidokov Boskovice during the 1970s. The range – which included table, floor, wall and ceiling lamps – was built around adjustability and simplicity: chrome and lacquered metal construction, directional shades, and a functional logic that kept ornamentation to a minimum.
Combi Lux pieces came in a range of colours and configurations, and their clean industrial aesthetic has made them increasingly collectible. They wear their era well without feeling like a period piece.
