Pedersen & Søn is a Danish furniture manufacturer founded in 1902, now operating under fourth-generation family ownership. Based in Denmark, the workshop employs skilled cabinetmakers working within traditional Danish craft methods – dovetailed drawer construction, tambour door mechanisms, and proper joinery rather than shortcuts.
During the 1960s-70s, the company produced mid-century teak and rosewood furniture designed by various Danish designers including Johannes Andersen and Isabel Bernhard. Their output from this period – sideboards, credenzas, secretaries, daybeds, dining tables – shows the functional minimalism typical of Danish design: clean lines, quality materials, construction that explains why pieces are still in use decades later. The company continues to manufacture furniture today, focusing on what they describe as their most exquisite historical designs.
