Vejle Stole og Møbelfabrik

Founded in 1907 in Vejle, Denmark, Vejle Stole og Møbelfabrik built its reputation on traditional woodworking techniques and handcrafted furniture production. During the mid-20th century, the company transitioned to manufacturing modern designs influenced by the Danish modern movement, creating furniture characterized by clean lines, minimalist forms, and natural materials including teak, rosewood, and leather. The company collaborated with several prominent Danish designers throughout the 1950s and 1960s, including Henning Kjærnulf, Arne Vodder, Johannes Andersen, and Erik Buch, producing dining tables, coffee tables, chairs, and storage pieces that balanced functional design with quality craftsmanship. In the 1980s, Vejle Stole og Møbelfabrik merged with other Danish furniture manufacturers and reformed as Skovby Møbelfabrik, which continues production today.
