This beautifully refinished vintage Ladderax modular shelving system is a versatile example of mid-century design at its best. Thanks to its modular nature, the Ladderax system is endlessly adaptable - shelves and units can be repositioned, added or removed over time, making it easy to tailor the setup as your requirements evolve.
One of the included shelves can be angled, making it a great option for use as a sloped writing surface or for displaying books, vinyl, magazines or sheet music. It can also be fitted flat, depending on your preference.

Staples of Cricklewood manufactured the iconic Ladderax modular shelving system during the 1960s-70s. Designed by Robert Heal, it featured ladder-style side panels with shelves, cabinets, and desks that could be configured to fit any space.
The system used teak or afromosia with brass fittings. Highly versatile - you could start with a basic setup and expand it over time by adding more units.
