This mid century teak bookcase and display cabinet by Jentique combines glazed display space with two useful drawers below. Gently curved front edges, oval wooden drawer handles and tapered legs give it a distinctive profile, complemented by the warm colour of the teak.
Two sliding glass doors keep your favourite pieces on view while helping protect them from dust. Inside, an adjustable wooden shelf creates two display levels, with the flexibility to accommodate books, ceramics, glassware or a collection of vintage finds. The sliding doors also make it practical where space is limited, as there is no need to allow room for doors to swing open.
The two drawers provide concealed storage for paperwork, table linens or smaller items, while the top offers another spot for a lamp, plant or decorative objects. It would work well as a bookcase in a living room, a display cabinet in a dining room, or somewhere to organise drinks and glassware.
Jentique was a British furniture manufacturer based in Dereham, Norfolk, known for its furniture influenced by Danish design during the 1950s and 1960s. This cabinet is a lovely example of classic British mid-century design, combining practical storage with simple proportions and carefully shaped details. The Jentique maker’s stamp is visible on the rear.
The cabinet has been carefully restored in our workshop, with attention to the woodwork and finish while preserving its original design and detailing. The restoration has brought out the warm teak tones, leaving it ready for everyday use.
It is in very good vintage condition overall, with some small marks and light wear consistent with its age and previous use, including to the lower front edge and rear. Please see the photographs for a closer look at the finish and condition.

Jentique was a British furniture manufacturer from the 1960s-70s, producing mid-range teak furniture with Danish-influenced styling.
Their sideboards and storage pieces feature clean lines, sliding doors, and solid construction. Good quality with dovetail drawers and teak veneers over solid frames. A more affordable alternative to G-Plan from the same era.
We stock Jentique sideboards and storage furniture, all properly restored and ready to use.
