A beautifully designed mid century teak writing bureau by Jentique, combining a compact writing desk with plenty of useful storage.
The upper section features a lockable fall-front which opens to create a generous writing surface, supported by its original brass stays. Inside is a particularly nice fitted interior with open pigeonholes, shelves and two small drawers - perfect for keeping stationery, paperwork and all those little desk essentials neatly organised.
Below sits a full-width drawer with Jentique’s distinctive sculpted oval handles, followed by a double-door cupboard offering further storage with a fixed internal shelf. The matching recessed handles and warm teak grain give the whole piece a wonderfully cohesive look.
Its gently curved sides, tapered legs and clean proportions give the bureau that unmistakable mid century feel, while its relatively small footprint makes it especially practical for modern homes. Closed up, everything is neatly hidden away; opened, it becomes a very usable workspace for a laptop, writing or occasional home working.
The bureau retains its original key and has a lovely warm colour throughout, with plenty of character from its age.

Jentique was a British furniture manufacturer from the 1960s-70s, producing mid-range teak furniture with Danish-influenced styling.
Their sideboards and storage pieces feature clean lines, sliding doors, and solid construction. Good quality with dovetail drawers and teak veneers over solid frames. A more affordable alternative to G-Plan from the same era.
