Mid Century G-Plan Fresco 4 Door Low Teak Sideboard #207
This piece has found its new home, but plenty of other one-of-a-kind finds await you. Discover similar pieces.
A classic example of British mid-century design, this low teak sideboard was designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-Plan as part of the celebrated Fresco range.
Beautifully proportioned and effortlessly functional, the sideboard features four spacious cupboard compartments, each fitted with adjustable internal shelving to accommodate a variety of storage needs. The doors are finished with G-Plan’s distinctive afromosia wood handles, offering a subtle contrast against the warm teak carcass and adding depth to the overall design.
The gently sculpted lines and balanced proportions reflect the Danish-inspired aesthetic that defined the Fresco range, while the two-tone combination of teak and afromosia gives the piece a rich, understated presence. Practical yet elegant, it works equally well as a living room sideboard, dining room storage piece or media unit.
Presented in excellent vintage condition with minor signs of age consistent with careful use. There are 2 small scratches in the top surface and a small circle of discolouration in the inside cupboard which can be seen clearly in the accompanying images.
G-Plan remains one of Britain’s most respected furniture makers, known for producing thoughtfully designed pieces that combine robust construction with enduring style. Designs from the Fresco era continue to be highly sought after for their quality, versatility and timeless appeal.
A superb mid-century sideboard that offers generous storage and classic design – a piece that will sit comfortably in both vintage and contemporary interiors for years to come.
