Originally created in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, its elegant profile and distinctive button-tufted cushions have made it one of the defining icons of modernist design. This vintage example captures everything that makes the design so enduring - sculptural lines, exceptional comfort, and a presence that effortlessly elevates a room.
The generously padded cushions are upholstered in white leather with traditional deep button detailing throughout, complemented by the polished chrome frames which create a wonderful contrast against the soft upholstery. The matching stool completes the set, making it the perfect spot to relax with a book, enjoy a morning coffee, or simply admire as a statement piece in its own right.
The chair and stool are presented in very good vintage condition with light signs of age and use consistent with their age. The leather remains supple and attractive throughout, while the chrome frame retains a lovely shine. Two of the support straps to the base of the chair have been professionally replaced to ensure continued strength and functionality, with the remaining original straps still present.
A timeless piece of design that works equally well in a contemporary interior, mid century setting, or stylish office space.
