A vintage industrial Simplus workshop lamp by Hadrill & Horstmann, with its original articulated arm, clamp-style fixing and classic metal shade.
Originally designed as a practical machine or workbench lamp, it has that brilliant utilitarian look - adjustable, purposeful and nicely worn in all the right places. The arm can be positioned to direct light where needed, making it ideal as a desk lamp, reading light, studio lamp or workshop-style feature.
The lamp has been professionally rewired for modern use with twisted black cord and a standard UK 3-pin plug, so it is ready to use. It does need to be fixed securely by screwing into the underside of a desk, shelf or suitable surface.
There are age-related marks, scratches and paint wear throughout, all in keeping with its industrial use and adding to its character.
