May has been absolutely brilliant for new stock – one of those months where everything that comes through the door makes me slightly giddy. We’ve got some seriously special Danish pieces, British mid-century classics, and those finishing touches that turn a room from “nicely furnished” to “properly styled.”

The star of the show is undoubtedly a four-bay Poul Cadovius Royal System modular wall unit – the Rolls Royce of modular systems. If you’ve been looking for a complete Royal System in beautiful condition, you know how rare these are. This one has all original components, warm teak patina from decades of care, and it’s substantial enough to hold a serious book collection while maintaining that clean, unified aesthetic that made the Royal System legendary. We’ve also got some gorgeous Danish dining furniture: a teak draw leaf table by Henning Kjærnulf for Vejle Stole og Møbelfabrik (seats 4-6, extends to 8-10), a set of six Danish teak Model 175 dining chairs by Arne Hovmand-Olsen for Mogens Kold, a mid-century desk by Svend Åge Madsen perfect for home working, and a lovely teak bedside cabinet. Proper Danish quality throughout.

On the British mid-century front, we’ve got an Ercol Model 467 elm sideboard (these sell almost immediately, so act fast), an Ercol Windsor media unit that’s perfect for modern TVs, and a G-Plan Brandon tallboy with that beautiful warm teak the Brandon range is known for. There’s also a complete Stag Cantata bedroom set – chest of drawers plus a pair of matching bedside cabinets, which is increasingly rare to find – along with additional pieces from Nathan, Meredew, and Avalon. We’ve even got a pair of Swedish cabinets by Ulferts, Tibro, circa 1970s, for those who appreciate Scandinavian design beyond just Danish pieces.

For finishing touches, we’ve got some lovely smaller pieces: a vintage Habitat bentwood magazine rack (also perfect for vinyl storage), a mid-century smoked glass pitcher set with matching glasses, a pair of vintage yellow enamel coolie lampshades with proper industrial style, a Simplus workshop lamp by Hadrill & Horstmann that’s built like a tank, and a framed Vladimir Tretchikoff ‘Balinese Girl’ print for anyone who appreciates delightfully kitsch mid-century art. There’s even a vintage Edwardian George VI oak drop leaf desk for those wanting something with a century’s worth of patina and character.
