July has brought in one of those lovely, cohesive drops – a proper G Plan Fresco set, some standout Danish teak, and a run of British sideboards that’ll have the cabinet-lovers among you scrolling twice. Here’s what’s just landed.

The headline this month is a complete G Plan Fresco suite – a double chest of drawers, a dressing table, and a pair of bedside cabinets, all from the same range and all in that warm teak the Fresco collection is known for. Finding one Fresco piece is easy enough, but a run like this, where everything could sit together in one room without a single mismatched grain, is a rarer thing. The executive desk in particular has real presence – proper 1960s office glamour without any of the bulk.

On the Danish side, we’ve got two beautiful cabinets: an eight-drawer teak sideboard with the kind of storage that makes downsizing conversations disappear, and a gentleman’s dresser cabinet that’s got compartments for everything a well-organised wardrobe needs. Both are solid teak, both carry decades of patina rather than damage, and both are the sort of pieces that make a bedroom or hallway feel instantly more considered.

British cabinet-making is well represented too. We’ve got two teak sideboards by Jentique – one a compact size for smaller rooms or flats, the other a full-length statement piece – plus a sideboard from Nathan Furniture’s Citadel range, a design that’s always been a personal favourite for its clean handles and honest proportions. There’s also a G-Plan ‘Form 5’ teak wall unit for anyone building out a proper modular storage wall, and it’s a great one to pair with existing Form 5 or Fresco pieces if you’re already collecting the range.

For something a little more unusual, we’ve got a “Phonette” telephone table and hall seat by Chippy Heath – a lovely combined piece for anyone with a hallway that needs both a perch and a place for the phone (or these days, the post and the car keys). Alongside it, a Ronald Holmes chrome floor lamp for Conelight, fully adjustable and built with proper mid-century engineering rather than the flimsy stuff you find today.

And for the finishing touch, a Dartmouth Pottery fish gurgle jug in a gorgeous petrol blue glaze c.1960s – properly playful, genuinely functional, and guaranteed to start a conversation on the drinks table.
